Three things we do differently
We assess before we treat
Every first visit opens with a scalp and meridian assessment. We check circulation, tension points, sebum, and hair condition, and the protocol is chosen from that, not from a fixed menu.
Head, hair and body, one visit
Most studios pick one lane. Tension in the scalp, hair and shoulders rarely stays that tidy. Our therapists are trained in traditional Chinese head spa technique and full-body massage, so your whole upper body gets treated as one system.
Membership that pays for itself
Join for $69 a month and one sixty minute treatment is included every month: the Daily Head Spa, a Swedish Massage or a Deep Tissue Massage. Members also pay $20 less on everything else, every visit, and can book and pay for a guest at the member price when the guest is in the same appointment.
Eleven treatments, no filler
Every session includes the consultation, the aftercare plan and herbal tea. Prices are per person. Member rates are listed beside each treatment.
Head spa & scalp therapy
Deep scalp cleansing, herbal steam therapy, acupressure through key meridian points at the occiput and temples, then a hydrating treatment and a finishing blow dry.
Swedish & deep tissue massage
Long flowing strokes at light to medium pressure, or firm focused work through the deeper muscle layers. Pressure is set in the first few minutes and checked as the session runs.
The S&P deluxe treatments
Ninety minutes at the top of each menu. The head spa carried through arm and leg massage, or the full recovery massage finished with warm stones along the back.
Couples head spa & massage
Two guests side by side in a private room, each with a therapist of their own. Sixty or ninety minutes each, across head spa or massage.

Started by two people who could not fix their own tension alone
Mira Sato spent nine years training in traditional Chinese head spa technique and scalp acupressure, then eleven months in an agency job that gave her the worst tension headaches of her life. Adam Reyes was a licensed massage therapist treating the same complaint in twenty different offices a week.
They opened Silk & Spine in 2019 on one idea: the scalp, the body and the hair belong to the same problem, and nobody was treating them together. Seven years and six thousand sessions later, that is still the whole business.
